Hangzhou: The men’s singles semi-final draw for the BWF World Tour Finals has been unveiled, featuring matchups such as Shi Yuqi against Jonatan Christie and Viktor Axelsen against teammate Anders Antonsen. Denmark has already secured a spot in the final.

Highlights of Viktor Axelsen vs. Anthony Sinisuka Ginting in Group A of BWF World Tour Finals:

In the Group A highlights, Viktor Axelsen faced Anthony Sinisuka Ginting in a closely contested match. Before the final group round, Axelsen, Shi Yuqi, and Ginting all had opportunities to qualify for the semi-finals. Axelsen emerged victorious against Ginting with a comeback score of 16-21, 21-7, 21-13, marking his 11th consecutive win against Ginting. As both Axelsen and Anthony had identical win-loss records in Group A, Axelsen’s triumph in the last group match secured his spot in the semi-finals as the Group A runner-up, while Shi Yuqi claimed the group’s top spot after defeating Japan’s Kodai Naraoka 18-21, 23-21, 21-13.

In Group B, Anders Antonsen faced a challenging situation and needed to defeat Kunlavut Vitidsarn in straight sets to advance to the semi-finals. Antonsen succeeded with a convincing 21-16, 21-11 victory against the reigning world champion. Despite Jonatan Christie’s loss to Li Shifeng (13-21, 18-21), he secured a semi-final spot due to a slight advantage in the win-loss ratio against Li.

Moving to women’s singles, Carolina Marin secured victory over Chen Yufei with a score of 25-23, 24-22, setting up a semi-final clash between them. Similarly, An Se Young and Tai Tzu Ying faced each other in the semi-finals after An’s triumph over Tai (21-17, 21-15) on Friday.
