Mumbai: India’s Kidambi Srikanth and Ashwini Ponnappa may be the top men’s singles and doubles player in badminton, but they were also pretty good at putting on makeup for old age that totally caught some young Indian badminton players by surprise.
Srikanth and Ponnappa were clearly having fun in the role against the kids. After serving the shuttlecock to the net and hitting air balls, they gradually started to dominate the game, moving around the court quickly and smashing the shuttlecock with powerful hits.
Of course, we’ve seen these choreographed athlete-anchored videos before such as NBA star Kyrie Irving dressed up as an old dude and dunked on some guys in a court in New Jersey who were unsuspecting.
Meanwhile, back in 2015, one of the greatest football player in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo, also disguised as a homeless man and spent over an hour on a street juggling and performing tricks with the ball. He attempted to get the people on the street involved as well as he passed the ball to them and asked some others to try and get the ball away from him.
The Portugal forward eventually removed his disguise to reveal his true identity to a young boy, who appeared to be delighted at meeting him.
From the video footage by Srikanth and Ponnappa, both Indian badminton stars clearly did a stellar job in disguising as older folks. They’ve showed huge potential in acting and could definitely take their talents to Bollywood when their playing days are over.
