Kuching: While Badminton fans are expecting another Lee Chong Wei vs. Lin Dan at the 2017 Malaysia Open final, both of them need to clear several hurdles before setting up another epic battle.
For Lee Chong Wei, he could have a tricky path to becoming the last man standing in Kuching as he was drawn in same half with Olympic champion Chen Long, while Lin Dan has an equally treacherous road in pursuit of his first ever Malaysia Open crown.
During a training session in Stadium Perpaduan on Monday, Chen Long was asked about his preparation for the Malaysia Open, and the Olympic champion has been particularly reluctant to answer questions from reporters.
Nevertheless, the 28-year-old Chen eventually smiled and provided a short answer to reporters: “The preparation is going well, and I look forward to the tournament.”
When asked about how he felt about the stadium, his coach Xia Xuanze pulled him away, leaving the stadium and boarded the bus quickly.
Meanwhile, Lin Dan could face Viktor Axelsen in the semi-finals before setting up the much anticipated final against Lee Chong Wei.
