Beijing: The best badminton player of all time, Lin Dan a.k.a “Super Dan” who was caught having an extramarital affair with a “Super Hot” Chinese model called Zhao Yaqi, has sparked outrage across whole China and the badminton world especially after the scandal took place when his wife was pregnant.
After Lin Dan took swift action and apologized to his family few hours after the scandal set the Chinese Internet abuzz, and after his wife, Xie Xingfang posted a message on her personal social media page the next day suggesting they would work through the difficult time together as a family, the incident seemed to have cool down.
Lin Dan who was hoping to turn the page on his career after that cheating scandal, has joined the line-up for team Guangzhou for the 2016-2017 season of China Badminton Super League (CBSL) that was scheduled to kick off on December 6th. Lin has been seen arrived at the China national physical fitness training center on Saturday to start his preparation for the upcoming CBSL season with a demanding physical drill.
When asked by reporters that what he would do if heckling fans try to disturb him during a match in CBSL due to his cheating scandal, Lin responded: “What’s coming will come, and I’ll stay calm and meet it when it does.”
On Sunday, Lin Dan was spotted at an airport, travelling to Guangzhou to get ready for the start of the new CBSL season.
