P.V Sindhu receives over 2 million USD cash reward & a BMW

Bangalore: Ever since P.V Sindhu became the first Indian shuttler to win a silver medal in badminton at the Olympics, cash rewards has been pouring in celebratiing for her momentous feat at the Rio Olympics.Congratulations to P.V Sindhu on the well-deserved rewards, keep up the good job! While the Telangana government has given her Rs 5-crore cash award (1 crore = USD $149033.20), a 1,000 square yard house site in Hyderabad and a government job for Sindhu, the Andhra government also presented her with a cash award that worth Rs 3 crore.

The Delhi government also has given her a cash reward of Rs 2 crore. Companies in the public sector such as oil company Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) will give Sindhu a cash reward of Rs 75 lakh (1 lakh = $1643.65). The state governments of Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, the Sports Ministry and the Badminton Association of India (BAI) have also rewarded her with cash rewards of Rs 50 lakh each to the Indian badminton star. Indian Olympic Association (IOA) also has a cash reward of Rs 30 lakh ready for her and the All India Football Association also wants to give her a token amount of Rs 5 lakh.

On Sunday, she was again presented with a gift, this time, it was a red BMW 320d. Meanwhile, her coach, Pullela Gopichand was also gifted a white BMW X1 for their achievements at the recently-concluded 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
