Kuala Lumpur: Since their arrival in March, Badminton Association of Malaysia’s (BAM) Technical Director Morten Frost, he has been assigned the task of reviving Malaysia’s glorious days in badminton. Both Morten Frost and Lee Chong Wei should work smoothly together if they want to be successful.

In the aftermath of a disappointing outing for the Malaysian camp at Japan Open and Korea Open, Frost acknowledged on Friday that he has differences with Lee Chong Wei when he ignored Lee’s request for a sparring partner at last week’s Japan Open. He also pointed out that the misunderstanding has finally been resolved.

The badminton legend from Denmark said that Lee was unhappy when they didn’t arrange any sparring partners to travel with Lee to the Japan and Korea Open.

In responding to media’s questions via text messages, Frost explained: “The controversy surrounding Lee’s sparring partner has been resolved, I’ve underestimated his need for sparring.”

“We’ve discussed about this matter before we depart for Japan. However, the arrangement in Japan did not live up to our expectation, that’s why we sent Tey Seu Bock to Korea. The issue has been resolved, and Chong Wei clearly understood the whole situation,” added Frost.

Chong Wei suffered his worst career setback ever when he was defeated by Heo Kwang Hee of Korea in the qualifying first round of Korea Open on Tuesday.
