Malaysia & China set up Asia junior championship clash

Bangkok: Group stages of the 2015 Badminton Asia Junior Championship mixed team event have been completed following twelve matches on Monday in Groups A, B, C and D. After falling to Korea 1-4 in their second Group C tie on Sunday, the Malaysian team managed to hold a 5-0 victory over Macau on Monday to finish second in the group.15 year-old Goh Jin Wei has grown into leadership role for Malaysia's junior squad. Goh Jin Wei, Cheam June Wei, R. Satheishtharan were rested on Monday, hoping that would prepare them for the tie against China in the knockout rounds on Tuesday.

Team China that secured the top spot in Group A, was vastly too strong for both Hong Kong, and Chinese Taipei, racking up two 5-0 wins on Monday.

The three other ties on Tuesday are between India and Japan, Hong Kong China vs Korea, and Thailand vs Indonesia.
