Simon Santoso continues to lead by example for the young Indonesian team at 2015 SEA Games

Jakarta – The Badminton Association of Indonesia (PBSI) has named the national men’s and women’s badminton teams that were composed mostly of young players for the 2015 SEA Games in Singapore. PBSI’s has also targeted three gold medals in Singapore.Simon Santoso continues to lead by example for the young Indonesian team at 2015 SEA Games

Interim SEA Games manager of the badminton team Luis Pongoh said besides Simon Santoso who is the oldest and longest-tenured player in the men’s singles department, the other three shuttlers – Jonathan Christie, Word Abdul Kholik, and Anthony Ginting are still in their teens.

“The women’s singles team consists of Linda (Wenifanetri), Bellaetrix Manuputty, Hanna (Ramadini), and Gregoria Mariska,” said Luis.

15-year-old Gregoria Mariska became the youngest player to make a cut for team Indonesia.
