Odense: World No.2 badminton player Chen Long won the fourth gold medal for China at the men’s singles final of Yonex Denmark Open on Sunday.

“Both Son and I played at our highest levels,” Chen said after the match that won him 45,000 U.S. dollars as award.

Previously, top seed Li Xuerui, also of China, won the women’s singles final after defeating her compatriot Wang Yihan.

The mixed doubles final at the Odense Sports Center was a clash between Chinese players Ma Jin/Xu Chen and Indonesian Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir. The Chinese duel finally triumphed with a two sets win 22-20 and 21-15.

Chinese players Wang Xiaoli and Yu Yang won the women’s doubles title, beating Japanese rivals Misaki Matsutomo and Ayaka Takahashi in two sets 21-14, 21-14.
