Indonesia’s world number two men’s doubles Hendra Setiawan/ Mohammad Ahsan, world number twelve Angga Pratama / Rian Agung Saputro, world number five men’s singles Tommy Sugiarto, youngster Maulana Ihsan Mustafa will start their opener in the second round after a bye in the first round.

 

Meanwhile, Indonesia also hoping their women’s shuttlers could deliver Asian Games breakthrough triumph for the country. The women’s team is spearheaded by Bellaetrix Manuputty, Holy partner Rizki Andini / Tiara Rosalia Nuraidah, Greysia Polii / Nitya Maheswari Krishinda, and Linda Wenifanetri.
