Palembang: On Tuesday, Malaysian mixed doubles pair Tan Aik Quan-Lai Pei Jing crushed their Indonesian opponent Supriadi Tedi-Mychelle Crhystine Bandaso 21-10, 21-11 in the opening round of the 2014 Indonesian Masters. They will play Lukhi Apri Nugroho-Masita Mahmudin of Indonesia on Thursday.
After series of poor performances this year, Indonesian Masters GP presented the best chance for Daren Liew to rejuvenate his career. He will play Rajid Patriawan of Indonesia on Wednesday. Barring any upset, he will most likely to take on Indonesian Fikri Ihsandi Hadmadi or compatriot Chong Yee Han in the second round.
