“We didn’t set any specific target in this World Championships, because we haven’t been training and playing together for a long time. I just want to enjoy the game,” said Kien Keat.

As for Tan Boon Heong, he was satisfied with their performance today.

“We won the first set easily, but we made few mistakes towards the end of second set. Luckily, we were able to prevail in straight sets. I am excited to play with Kien Keat again,” said Boon Heong.

The duo will play Taiwan’s Lee Sheng Mu-Tsai Chia Hsin who received a walkover from Malaysian pair Goh V Shem/Lim Khim Wah due to back injury suffered by V Shem during the match.
