Bangkok: The echoes of triumph continue to resonate as Thailand’s world badminton champion, Kunlavut Vitidsarn, returns home from Denmark to a heartwarming reception. Reflecting on his astounding feat of claiming the world title, Kunlavut expressed that his achievement had surpassed even his own expectations.

Emerging victorious in the World Championships final, the 22-year-old Thai dynamo and three-time junior world champion scripted his name into the history of the World Championships by beating Japanese player Kodai Naraoka in a riveting 2-1 battle. This momentous victory marked an unprecedented milestone, designating Kunlavut as the first-ever Thai men’s singles badminton player to seize a world championship title.

Amidst a jubilant atmosphere, Kunlavut arrived at the Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok on Tuesday around 6 a.m., where he was greeted by family members, the media, and representatives from the Thai Badminton Association. Speaking to reporters, he said: “The world championship win brings me immense joy. It has always been my dream, and I am elated to see it come to fruition.”
