Kuala Lumpur: The Badminton World Federation (BWF) stated on Monday that the Korea Open women’s doubles and mixed doubles draws have to be redone after many players were tested positive for COVID-19 and had to withdraw from the BWF World Tour Super 500 event.
Below is the statement from BWF:
“The women’s doubles and mixed doubles events at the Korea Open Badminton Championships 2022 have been redrawn.
A number of withdrawals in both events left each draw severely imbalanced, with BWF and the tournament referee agreeing to conduct redraws.
