Vantaa: The final-eight draw of the 2021 Sudirman Cup has been released, and Malaysia was handed a tough opponent as it will be up against the joint three and fourth seeds, Indonesia on Friday.
The Badminton World Federation (BWF) performed the drawing process for the quarter-final playoffs upon the completion of the group stage on Thursday. The top seeds, China will face European badminton powerhouse, Denmark, in the quarter-finals.
Second seeds Japan who are looking to bag their first Sudirman Cup title will play Chinese Taipei on Friday.
Meanwhile, Thailand will hope to keep their quest of the Sudirman Cups alive with a quarter-final showdown against Korea on Friday morning.
