When contacted by Chinapress from Malaysia, Lee said he was trying to keep a low-profile about the donation.
“During the COVID-19 pandemic, we can all see through social media that many people are in great need of help. For example, some families cannot afford to buy computers or pay for data plan. This is very hard for them,” said Lee.
“Because, most students are studying at home through online classes. Student without these devices would negatively impact their learning. I am a father, so I know the importance of education to children,” added Lee.
Lee also talked about a story about himself when he was young.
“When I was a child, I wanted to play badminton. But my dad couldn’t afford to buy me a badminton racket, so I told myself that I must work hard no matter what I do. Today, I also motivate others by telling my own story,” continued Lee.
