Bangkok: The chase for the 2020 BWF World Tour Finals women’s singles title was as heated as ever, with Tai Tzu Ying, Ratchanok Intanon, Pornpawee Chochuwong, and P. V. Sindhu were drawn into Group B for the group stage.

In Group A of the women’s singles, all focus will be on Carolina Marin of Spain, who has defeated Tai Tzu Ying in the finals of both YONEX Thailand Open and Toyota Thailand Open in the last two weeks.

Marin was grouped with South Korean teenager An Se-young, Canada’s Michelle Li, and Russia’s Evgeniya Kosetskaya.

Meanwhile, India’s PV Sindhu would likely be focusing on redeeming herself after she couldn’t find her rhythm at both Thailand Opens and she will face her most difficult test yet on Wednesday when she opens against Tai.

The group stage will be followed by knockouts, with the top two players/pairs from each group making to the semi-finals.
