Kuala Lumpur: Sunday was all about dad, as people around the world celebrated the 2020 Father’s Day.
Malaysia’s badminton legend Lee Chong Wei was spending his Father’s Day the best way possible, surrounded by his two kids!
Lee first shared a throwback photo of himself as a 13-year-old and his dad with the following message:
“Dad and I, 13 years old, MSSPP in Ping Hua, bronze medal. Happy father’s day.
祝全天下的爸爸父亲节快乐 #那年我13岁”
The former World No. 1 then shared adorable pictures of him hugging and cuddling with his kids, showing a cute drawing that they had made for him on Father’s Day.
“Got a little surprise from my two sons. Very touched for their effort and it made me feel my importance in their lives.
Being a dad is not easy, sometimes we yearn to be funny and casual yet need to put on the stern face in front of them. Need to be always setting a good example to them. Need to hide our weak side from them. Need to control emotions whenever by their side. We would do anything just to make them proud.
To all dads in the world, give yourself a pat at the back. Your children may often chose ‘mummy’ as their preferred parent. It’s ok, it’s a good thing. As one day, when you leave this world, you will want your wife to be cared and loved for, by your children.
Continue to be the invisible hero, all fathers. Happy Father’s Day 😎
儿子的画作。父亲节快乐。
希望你们健康开心努力学习,以后当个对社会有贡献的人,我就快乐❤️”
