Kuala Lumpur: World No. 2 men’s singles player Chou Tien Chen of Taiwan who attended a charity event in Ipoh, Malaysia last week, also met up with the retired Malaysian badminton legend, Lee Chong Wei for a dinner.

Chou first flew to Ipoh to share and to demonstrate some of his badminton knowledge and skills with badminton fans before arriving in Kuala Lumpur to meet with Lee Chong Wei.

At the 2015 Chinese Taipei Open, Chou told the media the reason why he was able to beat Lin Dan 21-19, 18-21, 21-16 in the semi-final was because Lee Chong Wei called him before the match started and gave him some suggestions on how to deal with Lin Dan.

When asked if Lee gave him any more tips on how to play against the current World No. 1, Kento Momota of Japan, Chou said: “That’s something that happened on the court, we talked about long-term career goals.”

Chou has returned to Taiwan on Friday and was getting ready for the Malaysia Masters Super 500 event that will kick off in Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur from January 7 to January 12, 2020. He will meet World No. 12 Kidambi Srikanth of India in the first round.
