Jakarta: Malaysia men’s doubles pair Goh V Shem/Tan Wee Kiong kicked of the Indonesia Masters with a commanding victory over Mathias Christiansen/David Daugaard of Denmark in the Indonesia Masters first round.
Goh/Tan beat the Danish pair 21-18, 21-13 to enter the second round and will play No. 5 seeds Lee Jhe-huei/Lee Yang on Thursday.
Another Malaysian men’s pair Chooi Kah Ming/Low Juan Shen were made to work by Denmark pair Kasper Antonsen/Niclas Nohr before seeing off the Danes 21-18, 19-21 and 21-17 for their three-set win.
In men’s singles, Malaysia’s independent player Chong Wei Feng emerged victorious 21-18, 21-18 against Parupalli Kashyap of India and will play Hans-kristian Solberg Vittinghus of Denmark on Thursday.

The 2015 World Junior champion Goh Jin Wei of Malaysia successfully overcame Gregoria Mariska Tunjung of Indonesia 21-14, 19-21, 21-12 in 54 minutes to meet No. 2 seed P.V Sindhu in the women’s singles second round.
