World No. 1 women’s singles player Tai Tzu Ying of Taiwan and the 2017 Japan Open champion Carolina Marin of Spain are in the same half as No. 8 seed Ratchanok Intanon and No. 7 seed He Bingjiao in the women’s draw, while second seed P.V Sindhu, No. 3 seed Sung Ji Hyun and No. 5 seed Akane Yamaguchi have been drawn into the bottom half of the French Open draw.
