Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia’s men’s singles department will certainly have a different look to it when Misbun Sidek officially return to the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) starting July 1, 2017.

BAM’s current singles assistant head coach Hendrawan was convinced that Misbun is the right man to turn Malaysia’s men’s singles fortunes around.

“I look forward to working closely with Misbun. He had a very successful track record by producing world class players such as Lee Chong Wei, Roslin Hashim and Hafiz Hashim,” said Hendrawan.

“The presence of Misbun is definitely a great news for BAM, and I believe he will help the team to earn confidence and ambition during this difficult period,” added Hendrawan.

Hendrawan also told reporters that Lee Chong Wei will also get boost of confidence from Misbun ahead of World Championships.

“It’s great news and huge inspiration for Chong Wei, who is currently in pursuit of his maiden World Championships title,” added Hendrawan.
